Hands On Charlotte volunteers provide structured activities for pre-school and school-age children while their parents attend financial counseling sessions.
Volunteer Activities: - Provide child care
- Help keep children safe
-Individual and group interaction with children
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: - Casual attire and comfortable shoes are appropriate
- Bring enthusiasm, patience and smiles!
The classes for parents are open to those currently residing at the facility and those that have graduated within the last two years. The number of children can vary greatly from 3 to over 20.

All adult volunteers must first complete the orientation process before they can attend any monthly calendar project.

About the Organization: Charlotte Family Housing, provides opportunities through advocacy, temporary shelter and support services for families in their transition to stable housing. They primarily serve single mothers with children, they also are one of the limited options for single fathers with children and two-parent families. They provide supportive services for families up to two years after they move to independent housing.
