Saturday, August 26th, is Tour de Turns, a cycling event that leaves Carmel Neighborhood Park at 8am with 15, 25, 37 and 62 mile routes.  Loaves & Fishes is the sole beneficiary of this event. It will be great visibility for our organization and has the potential to be a major fundraiser for us at a time when we will need to make food purchases. We need volunteers to help with parking, registration, lunch and clean up 6:30am to 2pm. ALL volunteers receive a Loaves & Fishes t-shirt. Contact to sign up.

Be The Match Walk+Run Charlotte needs volunteers on September 9th, 2017!

By volunteering at this fun, inspiring event, you are helping support patients before, during, and after marrow transplants. Be The Match helps patients facing blood cancers, like leukemia and lymphoma, and other life-threatening diseases.  Every dollar raised helps more patients afford transplant, adds potential marrow donors to the registry, and funds life-saving research. We need friendly, energetic volunteers to help with registration, course marshaling, water stops, and more at the Walk+Run. You’ll receive training for your role, a t-shirt, and the appreciation of everyone who helps marrow transplant patients. Please contact Kelly Clark ( to sign up!
